How We Can Help

We are a staff and volunteer-run drop-in facility that operates as a cafe on a Tuesday and a Thursday. You can also come along and try various craft activities on a Friday where we always try to provide a sandwich or soup and tea and coffee.

We provide support through one-to-one sessions, life skills and signposting to other agencies, thus enabling our clients and volunteers to access opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.

Our services are free.

Opening hours:

10am – 2pm

Tuesday      Thursday      Friday

Lunch is served at noon

The Food Strategy Project

In an enclosed courtyard contained within Kate’s Kitchen there is a new community project which aims to bring people together regardless of age, abilities or experience.

Drop in for a visit and see what’s on offer. Have a chat with a member of our friendly team.

Kate’s Kitchen will close for 1 week

Social Isolation and Loneliness Prevention

Kate’s Kitchen provides an outreach service that seeks to identify and support those in our community who are vulnerable to social isolation and loneliness.

As part of our social inclusion strategy, 12 members of our men’s group went Ten Pin Bowling in Carlisle and stopped for pizza afterwards! Even though this was a new experience for some of the men, the trip helped to develop relationships and build confidence and self esteem among them.

If you feel isolated and lonely or you know someone who does, please get in touch with us.
